This 80-meter concept, presented by designers from the M51 studio, in particular, Anthony Glasson, will definitely attract attention. The concept is said to be inspired by a volcano, as evidenced by an unusually shaped pyramidal superstructure with angular orange elements and an overall color scheme.
However, we clearly see not so much a volcano on the water as a dragon from Chinese mythology. But perhaps the mythical dragons were also inspired by erupting volcanoes.
But it’s not just another whimsical yacht design that’s good for nothing more than mooring in a marina on the Cote d’Azur and serving as a backdrop for posing tourists and selfie-takers. In fact, this is an ice-class research vessel for safe expeditions in high latitudes.
The hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system provides a cruising range of more than 5,000 nautical miles.
The design of the superstructure allows for a panoramic glass ceiling in the master cabin, through which you can admire the stars and the aurora borealis.
This yacht is certainly very interesting and, despite the sharp design, it looks very organic.
